My cmt: Insanity! What would N. Korea do afterward? They
would attack South Korea in a “surprise” ground assault similar to the one that
started the Korean War in 1950. The US would have to augment ground forces -
Deja-vu, all over again. We were at war 3-years in the 50’s and settled for a
stalemate. Conventional warfare is
expensive – in logistics, equipment and, most importantly, lives. Looks like
Trump is planning for regime change and nation-building in North Korea. It’s worked so well in Iraq and Syria, why
not?
